The Abbey Inn has a very colourful history of paranormal happenings so we where intrigued and excited to be given the opportunity to investigate there. Team member Kirsty made the initial contact with the landlord and conducted the pre visit to establish the inns past and the boundaries of our investigation.
We arrived at the property at around 11.30pm and had a brief chat with the landlord as we wanted to go into this one fresh and not know too much of what kind of activity had been experienced before so we could judge for our selves. 3 members of the bar staff stayed behind to accompany and assist us throughout the night.
We set up static cameras in the main bar, two in the pool room, one focused on the door leading down to the caller and one in the cellar. We put a digital recorder in the women’s toilets and carried a 2nd recorder and cam corder with us at all times.
The investigation began around 12.30am. Team members Lindsey, Kirsty and team leader Janice along with guest investigator John and 2 members of the bar staff headed for the women’s toilets where we were told a high level of activity had occurred. We spent some time in there asking out questions looking for some kind of response and although we had some fluctuations on the k2 meter we didn’t have much more to go on so guest investigator John decided to try asking for knock responses on one of the cubicle doors to which we got something none of us where expecting. We caught this on audio and cams.
