Cool as Ice Investigators (http://coolasiceinvestigations.com/) kindly invited Kirsty from the team over to Sheffield to join them as part as a public investigation of the Queens Head Sheffield, an 18th century hunting lodge with an abundance of history. With various owners over the years and extensive history regarding its usage and layout, this certainly showed appeal as a great place to hold vigils.
I arrived around 9 and the rest of the team approximately followed around 9.30. Firstly greeted by Dean, the founder and investigator of Cool as Ice, followed closely by presenter Darren Lumb and Alan Turnbull, member of CAI and Spellbound Productions who would be filming on the night.
Introduced myself to a few people who were attending the event, to gauge what level and experience the public and everyone had within investigating the spirit realm. Found that quite a few obviously had various levels of expertise and experience, with some already previously worked alongside CAI team, and many with some form of sensitivity within certain situations, temp changes etc.
Decided to do a brief sweep of the place whilst the team were setting up cameras and other technical equipment. Found that certain areas omitted quite high readings of EMF, particularly round bar area due to lighting on pumps, which found similar within Abbey Inn environment. I decided to take pictures also of the vicinity, paying particular attention to the small dining area, which straight away had a serious heavy feeling compared to other parts within the bar area. Myself and Rachel decided to walk around the area and take various photos. Various orbs appeared and also various cold spots seemingly circulating around myself and Rachel. Also i experienced a tickling sension on the back of my arm. This was an odd feeling, as it felt like someone touching me, yet like a crawling sensation.
After this we reconvened within the bar area for a briefing and introduction from Gail, Medium of Cool As Ice.
Our first meeting we all moved into the dining area. Several spirits appeared to both Gail and Roy in different eras ranging from its present state with a more local man from less than 100 years, to some possibility from the 18th century during the pubs stint as a house, or tavern (the building has various notes about its possible uses). Various other entities were also visioned within this area, however these could be later explored that evening. KII action was pretty stagnant, few random sporadic hits, however nothing to suggest direct responses to questions or anything name wise that was brought to the table. The audio when reviewed from this area unfortunately was inconclusive. This i feel was due to the level of people with the actual room, and the bustling would have created conflicting voices and sounds, which were too hard to distinguish at anomalies within the room which would appear as being different to people within the room.
We moved shortly after into the bar area. Roy picked up a regular within the area with a whippet dog. Particularly centred around an area where myself and Dave were sat. Various orb photos were located within the floor area of this table, as well as the air and general feeling of this part of the pub i experienced felt as if i was invading someones space, and i did at some point move, as i didnt want to create a negative atmosphere.
Approximately after around half an of discussions regarding the dog and also various other characters entered we moved to the upstairs bar area. The atmosphere when walking up the stairs again was very heavy. Different to the dining area, this was a certain area of interest to me. I took various photos in this area, and orbs were located in various areas of this. This was a fairly new part of the building also.
Gail and Roy continued various discussions about people coming through within this area. Suggestions about that this was a possible money exchange location, as well as focused on the name George who was very prominent to Gail a great deal within the upstairs area.
We decided also to explore the toilet areas which created a massive feel of unease and an unexplained feeling of electricity. This i experienced in both the ladies and the mens toilets without no explanation.
